My friend and I are both TTC this year. We are both in lesbian relationships and we’ve been following our own paths when it comes to TTC. First of all, she found a donor off an app, does not know his background and hasn’t even had him tested for STDs. I was already antsy about her doing that but I couldn’t talk her out of it. Now she’s tracking her ovulation off and on for only two weeks and as soon as she didn’t see ovulation she went to a doctor and was told she has PCOS and a cyst on her kidney. Instead of seeking any treatment, she got hormones to get her to start ovulating so she can get pregnant. Her wife is best friends with my wife and her wife is expressing serious concerns about her not having insurance, having ongoing health issues and them both not being ready financially to have a child. I wish she would at least wait a few more months and not risk having major trouble along the way. I feel for her because I know she wants to do it like everyone else but she also needs to think about her future baby and her relationship.
