Do you use at home Dopplers?

Just curious as to how many of you all use a home Doppler ? 🙈🤰🏻

Medical professionals don’t recommend it and it can give false peace of mind

I got one because my doctor actually suggested I get one.  I hadn't even considered it before that because I know they can cause undue stress.  I just made a promise to myself that I wouldn't freak out of I couldn't find baby's heart beat, which did happen a couple of times.
Once I started feeling baby move, though, I never used it.

I did with my first. I had 2 losses before her. I used the Doppler only on the Monday of each week in between my appointments. From about 12 weeks till I felt kicks at 20 weeks. I didn’t with my 2nd - my first kept me too busy to be worried all the time. They are now 21 months and 5 months old.

I did more with my first I had a couple losses before I had my son I find his around 9weeks. This time I only use it when I worry myself. Found this baby at 7weeks6days

They can cause more stress than comfort if you don't find the heartbeat. Plus there are no studies showing long term exposure to the ultrasonic waves is safe for the baby, and some people with home dopplers do it every day or several times a day. My midwife recommends against it and I agree.
