Do you just allow someone to beat you up then call the cops? Or do you fight back then call the cops?

I’m sorry but I’m gonna fight back! And I’m not talking about a fight between two different sexes. I’m talking about if you were trying to avoid a fight and a woman just pounced on you. Some feel they have a better case if they just get their ass whooped and present it to the police

All the people saying they wouldn't put themselves in that situation as if fucking crazy ass loose cannons aren't found everywhere. a woman got punched randomly without ever saying a word to a guy at a park. Could happen at the store. Could happen at the subway. Could happen literally anywhere. 
I can't say which I would do, since I'm sure natural instincts would kick in at that moment as opposed to logic.

Neither. I'm going to do everything in my power to NOT put muself in a violent situation. Always have and have never fought anyone. I can talk like an adult about how we move forward and don't believe in violence. I have a child, I refuse to be anywhere near a situation such as this.

I’m not sure why so many people don’t understand what self defense is. Self defense is fighting back, in the most non violent way if possible, when you can’t leave the situation and they continue assaulting you. However if you fight back out of revenge/retaliation, when you could have left the situation or they have stopped hitting you- then that is not self defense and you could be charged with assault too.

I'd like to pretend I would fight back, but when I was jumped (several, several years ago) I was too in shock of it happening that I just kinda froze while she was shoving my face in the sidewalk. 
I'm sure lots of people would talk big about fighting back, but honestly when it happens you might not 😂  it's all good. Bitch got what she deserved, and last I heard her life was still at the bottom.

I believe everyone had a right to self defense... although I also understand some people who may not if they know they don’t have the strength and just want something to be over as fast as possible. Thankfully I have never had to defend myself to that extent so I don’t really know what I would be thinking.
