Switching to bottle?

Question

Is anyone considering switching to bottle feeding since baby is teething or once they get teeth? My girl keeps biting me and it has become very painful to feed her. I still want to give her breastmilk just not from the breast anymore. I’m feeling guilty about possibly switching, but I don’t know what else to do.

I’ve been trying to but it’s hard to pump enough after she feeds. I was gonna do formula but the one we tried she only liked it for a little and then all the sudden she wouldn’t drink it.

I’m 100% behind this lol. I will not be breastfeeding once teeth come. We’ve started introducing more bottles per day to prepare. Little man gets about two in and if they’re in a row he rebels and cries. So it’s definitely a work in progress.

We were determined to just breastfeed but got off to a bad start and bad advice etc lead to weightloss and we had to do a combo of breast and formula, still doing it 4 months on and little girl is fine. Most say feed first then pump off what's left but baby is much more efficient at getting milk out than the pump so I pumped first then stick baby on to get out the rest, can you can give the expressed. She doesn't have nipple confusion at all, and never has. So you have a couple of options, express and give that from the bottle, use formula or do a mixture of the two. Fed is best and if you still want to give breast milk expressing is a great way to go as you know how much they've had, then you can top up if you need to
