Baby boy came 3-4weeks early.
So I have now discovered my babies like trying to come between 36 and 37 weeks. My daughter killed my gallbladder causing me to go into preterm labor at 36 weeks and then be induced at 37 ending with a csection after 30 plus hours of labor.
Baby boy my surprise baby was not due until Nov 20th, my baby shower was Oct 27th. Oct 28th I bent down to pick up some laundry and pop went my water. So me completely unprepared because I was still putting things from my baby shower calls my mom for help and a ride to the hospital because boyfriend is at work and works the 2pm-10pm shift. My water broke at 4:16pm. So my mom comes (we lived 5 houses apart in the same community at the time) and helps me pack everything for the hospital, grab the carseat, pack a bag for my daughter who I had to find a last min babysitter for until her grandma (mom inlaw) could get her. Get to the hospital and have to go through triage to be tested for broken waters. My test came back waters broken so the doctor checks my cervix. My cervix was CLOSED I wasn't even 1cm dilated 🙃🙄. So right off the bat here we go another long labor. Welp I immediately was hooked up to pitocin and 20 hours later up to 22mg of Pit I was holding steady at 3cms so I finally got my epidural 1) already expecting another csection and 2) Mama was hurting. 2 hours of waiting to get my epidural I get it done, and immediately I notice it does not feel like it did with my daughter. The anesthesiologist says to give it a little bit to work and the nurse gives me a button for the medicine. 2 more hours go by I am now crying in agony and the anesthesiologist does not believe that the epidural is not working, she gives it another hour and then finally decides to redo my epidural. The second one had blood in the cath so she redid it a third time and finally some beautiful relief. Finally not feeling like my back was breaking I got some sleep and figured yay hopefully being able to relax I'll dilate. 40 hours of labor and I held steady at 3cms never progressing further. So boyfriend and I made the call and scheduled the csection.
Baby finally made his appearance after 40 plus hours of labor on Oct 30th, 2019 at 8:57 in the morning. He weighed 6.14lbs and was 19 1/2ins long
