My fur baby is always inside. Well about a month ago maybe longer I’m not sure she got out. Well about 3-4 weeks ago I noticed her teets we’re getting bigger. They are a lot bigger now and she’s getting fatter. She’s also lactating if you put pressure on her teet. So I’m about 100% sure she’s pregnant. I called the vet they said it could be false that she needs a X-ray but that costs $200 I don’t have right now. They said if she’s lactating she may be in labor but I called the vet a week ago and she’s not had pups yet.

My question is does anyone know if lactating means labor soon? Or any other ways I can tell if she’s pregnant for real or how to know how far along she’d be etc.

She’s a pit bull. 4 years old.

All of the vets near me tell me she’d need an X-ray or a full exam but they both cost pretty much the same. The visit is $145 so not to much difference.
