When are you going on maternity leave ?

I’m debating when I am going to go on maternity leave, I work in a hospital so if I go into labour I just need to walk down the hall to the delivery suite. 
I’m thinking I’m going to go at 39 weeks when everyone else going ? X

The day the baby comes lol I have to use sick / vacation time and don’t really want to take anything unpaid so I’ll start the day baby comes

Not until I go into labor unless there is a medical reason that I have to go sooner. I only get 6 weeks and I want all of the precious time I can get with my newborn

I’m 29 weeks and starting my leave now. Low blood pressure means I’m lightheaded much of the day. I couldn’t make it through a day without needing to lie down because I was about to faint. As a teacher I can’t just lie down whenever I need, so I had to leave much earlier than I wanted to.

After due date! I like to save the time for with baby. I left work 2 weeks earlier with my first and was said when I had to go back and he was only 10 weeks

I’m leaving at 33 weeks. Horrific SPD and on crutches! 3 weeks left at work!!

I’m finishing up at 34w, 2w annual leave then from 36w will be maternity - not sleeping so I need the rest 😴

I work in hospital as well. I think at one point I got scared that the stress of the ICU environment on some days may trigger early labour so I decided to take my vacation and leave at 36 weeks. So looking forward to it because it is getting harder with busier assignments

I’ll begin my leave at 38+1 (April 3). I would go longer but we have Spring Break the week before my due date and it doesn’t make sense to go back into the classroom.
