Any tips on producing more breast milk??

I’m not producing a lot of breast milk maybe an ounce every time I pump. Does anyone have any tips on how I can produce more?

I've only noticed my supply going up when I drink insane amounts of water and I started drinking a gatorade in the evening and that's been doubling what I pump at night for some reason.

It cannot be stressed enough that the amount of milk you able to pump is NOT ever a reliable indicator of how much milk you are producing, nor how much milk baby is taking in. The healthy breastfed baby is usually much more efficient at getting milk from the breast than a pump is.

My baby is just about 11 months, and I’ve really had to work to keep my supply up. I take a fenugreek supplement 3x per day. I drink lactation tea twice a day, eat lactation cookies once a day and add a lactation powder to my morning smoothie. All products are available at target, meijer and amazon, though they aren’t always in stock. If I miss any of the above, my supply drops so I know they work for me. I’ve had two stomach bugs where my supply almost dried up, and the products mentioned brought it back. I still only produce exactly as much as he needs, but it looks like I’m going to reach my goal of nursing for a year. There are people on this app who say that fenugreek can reduce your supply, but I certainly haven’t experienced that.

You can try supplements and drinking tons of water.    I personally would say drinking water helped the most

Water..i drink at least 64oz a day of water. I bought a 64oz water bottle from amazon & drink that every day. feed on demand. Skin to skin. Keep taking prenatals. Eat enough calories & healthy food to produce nutritious milk.
