Birth story💙

Sidney • Baby Emerson 02-04-2020👶🏼 Mom to 3 fur babies🐾

My little Emerson made his way into the world Tuesday February 4th at 8:41am. At 35 weeks I was diagnosed with Cholestasis of Pregnancy and was told I would need an induction at 37 weeks. I also learned at that he was breach and if he didn’t flip it would be a scheduled C instead. Fast forward to 36w3d and I hadn’t felt little man move all day and so I went into L&D. NST came back normal but his fluids were a little low and wanted me to come back the next day for another scan and NST. Next day and same results and the doctors agreed that they should get him out as his fluids had been great the week before. They schedule me for the next morning. The day starts with my emotions running high excited to meet my babe but nervous about complications. I go in and the surgery starts out smooth but once they get to his water bag they found there was no fluid. He came out not crying but pinked up right away. I got to see his face for about 60 seconds before they took him to the warmer and got him on ventilation. He was taken to the nearest children’s hospital as my hospital (military) didn’t have a NICU. I got to hold him attached to wires and all for about 10 minutes before he was taken from me. I spent the next 24 hrs a wreck bc my baby wasn’t with me and I didn’t know exactly how he was doing. The doctors discharged me early the next day so I could go be with him. Well after a week in the NICU I can proudly say my baby will be graduating tomorrow and gets to come home 💙
