Dock a tot / Snuggle me or no ?

Question

I’m a first time mom, My MIL got me a fisher price motion bassinet for the baby (will be due next month) 
I want to get a dock a tot or snuggle me to insert inside the bassinet but I’m not sure if that’s necessary. 
I’m aware of SIDS so that’s why I’m on the fence about getting one but i just feel like swaddling and that flat bassinet bed isn’t comfy to the baby ?

Flat is safest. Don’t add any padding as baby can suffocate

In canada, dock a tot is basically banned lmao. And snuggle me isnt recommended for unsupervised sleep. 🤷‍♀️ Flat is best. Ive swaddled my guy since birth in his bassinet and its worked out really well for us. He was sleepong 8-10 hours at night from 2 weeks old so I'd say he was a comfy and happy baby.

Flat on back is safest. They learn to be comfortable in whatever you put them in. You can get a bassinet with an infant insert. For example I have the Halo bassinet with a mesh infant insert so they don’t feel like they are sleeping in such a wide open area BUT it’s still perfectly safe

Not safe for sleeping.  Napping or lounging in those is ok while being supervised but not for sleep.   I'd skip them

They say flat and firm is best. I got the same bassinet! While it is pretty firm, that’s the safest setting for them 🤷🏻‍♀️I am putting one more layer on there (mattress pad/protector) so it’ll be slightly more cozy idk

I registered for snuggle me. But was planning on using it for when I don’t want to hold her (which will be never haha) but just for when we’re lounging on the couch or she is napping supervised. The bassinet will have nothing in it. I will be swaddling her in a sleep sack if she enjoys it for the first couple of weeks.

My son would not sleep though the night being Swaddled. So I bought the snuggle me and it has worked WONDERS for us. He is now almost 7 months and will be growing out of it very soon.

A quick search online will show you that Docl a tot is not safe or listed as safe, at all.

dock a tot you would have more growing room and you can lay it anyway because it has a padding on the bottom the snuggle your baby most likely to grow out of it at 4 months depending on how big the baby is and it doesn't have a padding so if you was to put it on a hard floor the baby ￼is going to feel the floor

Those are for supervised sleep only, its best to leave the bassinet/crib flat with nothing else so they can’t turn and suffocate
We have a snuggleme and I plan to use to to lay her down in if I’m doing something so she feels held and safe and won’t roll or for naps in the living room with me there
