Ovulation pain

Are ovulation cramps/ pain a real thing? I’m not due for my period for 12 more days... I had sex the day I ended my last period... 2 weeks ago... he wore a condom and pulled out... but why am I cramping so bad today? And have a lot of cervical mucus? Should I be worried??
