Is miscarriage painful?

I had some bleeding yesterday after cervix check and i called my doctor and he said it's most probably because of the check, cause everything was fine, including the scan.
The bleending has stopped and it wasn't painful but it seemed a little too heavy for me.
Almost 13 weeks now. Could that be a miscarriage?

I can’t speak for everyone but I had a miscarriage at 10 weeks and it was horrible.  Also the amount of blood was horrific, as in I had to sit on the toilet for about two hours through the worst of it.

I had one at 12 weeks and it was worse than giving birth to my son. If you don’t have any cramping, I wouldn’t worry. My doctor warned me I could bleed after a check.

My missed miscarriage was more painful than contractions I have had when I was giving birth to my daughter. And they were very intense and painful due to being induced also. The birth was medical free, unlike when I was going through the miscarriage, I was heavily sedated on morphine.

A 13 week miscarriage would have very large clots and tissue and the fetus. It gushes out after strong contractions - alternating between pain and bleeding.

Cervix check with my girl and she’s here with me today  it made me blood a little bit but I was alright if u get really bad pain in ur back and belly that’s when u know ur not ok I blood to death when I had a miscarriage on November hospital had to put blood back in to my body I lost so much but everyone is different ￼

It sounds to me that the doctor didn't give you grave news to be suspecting a miscarriage? Why are you thinking that?? The bleeding? Is it filling a pad , and when I say filling I mean soaking through the pad that you're changing it every hour and a half? Or are you spotting very lightly?

It definitely sounds like its solely from having your cervix check. At 13 weeks, youd likely be very uncomfortable if you were having a miscarriage.
