When did you have your first prenatal appointment?

Hey there, my first pregnancy my first prenatal appointment was at 9 weeks along. It was planned to be the same way with this pregnancy, but because of insurance problems they wouldn't see me that day. So now my prenatal appointment is a week from today and I'll be 13 weeks and 5 days. I'm pretty sure it's fine but my mother is just going crazy and so scared that something is wrong with me or my baby which makes absolutely no sense. I had a friend that her first prenatal appointment was at 15 weeks because she didn't know she was pregnant until she was 11 weeks along. So I just wanted to ask and see when y'all's first appointments were with babies that are fine.

Mine was at 12 weeks. Your mom needs to calm down as her dealing out isn’t helping you. It is pretty normal not to be seen until the end of the first trimester.

If something's wrong with the baby waiting a couple of weeks isnt going to change anything. But I really doubt there is anything wrong with your little one. If the docs think there's a possibility of something being wrong then they would move your appointment up.
You need to tell your mother that you're pregnant and that is enough stress on you and your body without having to deal with her paranoia. And tell her respectfully that you would appreciate her keeping her negative thoughts/assumptions to herself.
If she has gotten into your head then continue taking pregnancy tests every few days to confirm your pregnancy is still viable.

My first appointment is at 8 weeks but it’s literally a confirmation that’s I’m pregnant and to go over all of the family history that they already have.  I won’t have my first scan until closer to 12 weeks.

My first appointment was 12 weeks. I technically had one at 8 weeks, but all it was was filling out paperwork with a nurse. But at the 12 week one, I met with a doctor and heard the heartbeat.

As long as you've been taking your prenatals and not drinking/smoking/doing drugs. You'll be fine. Most prenatal appointments are just to screen for possible problems. So unless you've been having problems you are gonna be fine.

My doctor's office does it anywhere between 8- 13 weeks usually. With my first they saw me at 11 weeks. With my current pregnancy my first prenatal was at  nesrly 10 weeks.
