Solids đ„Ł
Since our babies are turning the corner on 4 months old itâs time to start thinking about solids (even if youâre planning on giving milk until 6months old, Iâm sure youâre already preparing for your decision, right? So please, no comments like âIâm waiting until 6months old because thatâs whatâs recommendedâ)
What are you hoping to start with?
Who is planning on jumping straight to baby lead weaning? Or are you doing purées?
For me Iâm thinking of jumping straight to baby lead weaning like 90% of the time and homemade purĂ©es for when we are on the go. (PurĂ©ed meat just seems so gross to me đ so if I wouldnât eat it, why would I expect my baby to?)
What utensils are you starting with? Soft spoons or starting with metal (like they do if youâre trying a Montessori style living)?đŽ
Bottles with water, sippy cup, or open mouth cups (like adult cups)? đ„
What high chair / feeding station will you be using?
For me, Iâm super excited and stressed about this change! How are you ladies feeling about it.
At first I thought I wanted to start my boy at 4months old with our pediatricians approval, but since we wonât be seeing him until the 20th? Or something like that, my boy will be so close to 5months, so might as well wait. But if I can go 5months, why not 6 (unless he seems SUPER interested)? And I plan to continue breastfeeding and pumping anyways, so why not just hold off until 6months? đ€·đŒââïžI donât know đ€Ł so conflicted, so anxious, nervous, and... unsure and undecided...
