Cramping and Ovulation?

Is severe cramping a sign ovulation is coming? or that your actually ovulating at that time? I'm having really bad cramping mostly just on the left side but it got me thinking. Any thoughts?

It’s common to feel one sided cramping when the egg is released so it definitely could’ve been that!

Cramping can occur prior to, during and after ovulation.

Akward to say but it almost feels like constipation and hurts to move quite a bit so I was almost wondering if I missed it.
