What are your thoughts on antidepressants and breastfeeding?

I got hit with PPD with a past record of normal depression. My doc prescribed me Zoloft but I haven’t taken it bc my fiancé doesn’t believe in big pharma, especially a pill that hasn’t had a long history of studies yet and that could affect our baby via breastmilk. He believes in natural cures, healthy interactions, exercises, etc.

I don’t think he fully understands how hard it is to have healthy interactions when you have social anxiety or exercising when every part of you is exhausted.

He’s still not comfortable bc of the baby and I’m trying to respect that. I’m still kinda salty tho bc I think Zoloft would help me be a better person and I don’t mind “the easy way.”

I’m curious about what others think of the drug?
