How do I transition from swaddle to non swaddle?

honestly my baby would love to be swaddled i wanna say up until the one swaddle i had was too small for her so maybe like 2-2.5 months, she’s 4 months almost 5 but one day it was dirty and she couldn’t use it so i used a blanket, i realized she was too big for the blanket. was scared of it suffocating her so i just didn’t do it that night and she was fine so everytime
after that i haven’t swaddled. and
she’s fine

I used Love to Dream transition swaddle (stage 2) 
I think it took my baby a couple weeks in total for him to get used to having both his arms free
