Is it true that Johnson& Johnson is bad for babies ?!

I need to give my week old baby a bath because her bellybutton thing just fell off and she needs one. But all we got from the baby shower is Johnson and Johnson products. I just read how bad they are for babies and have bad chemicals in them and cancer causing chemicals. Is this true. What are your experiences with this product because now I’m scared to use it on my baby

It depends on babies skin sensitivity. Even Aveeno is owned by Johnson and Johnson and everyone swears by that. When my son was first born his skin was so sensitive Aveeno was the only wash we could use, now that he’s 3 months his skin is fine with Johnson and Johnson products. Just depends on the kid.

I was just told today at the 4 month appointment not to use J&J. However, I was advised that because my son developed eczema, and the fragrance is known to irritate the skin.
I also have a bunch of bottles I am going to have to get rid of. I’d say if you and your SO don’t have any history of skin sensitivity then she’ll likely be fine and go ahead and try it. If you do have a history or just want to avoid the chances then I’ll pass on the recommendation I received which was Dove, Aquaphor, and coconut oil. Maybe Aveeno.

It was bad you. They had a massive recall and took all the products back and revamped their formula so it’s safer now. It might still say it on the bottles but for a while it said something about “new formula.”

My brother as a baby was using it with no problem but my baby broke out and had eczema so I used African black soap and it cleared away I tried everything out of subject but it may help someone

My little one has a rare skin condition and it dries her out more.  We've been using dove or burts bees.  I loved it besides that so if your little one is okay with it I'd keep using it.  You never know what random things can irritate them,  so just try everything in small amounts first

You are just fine using it on baby. We love Johnson & Johnson lotion and baby wash. It’s the only brand my daughter doesn’t break out from. 
Also if you do the research it was actually the baby powder with talcum powder in it that was cancer causing and it wasn’t babies that used it that got cancer it was women who used them on themselves for years and years and years. There is such better product out there now than baby powder anyways.

I used J&J until recently when we noticed my son had a couple patches of eczema so we had to swap. The issue was with talcum powder, all talcum powder. For some reason people think only J&J had an issue with talc being in talcum powder. You should use cornstarch powder or similar if you use powder at all.
