So I had the mirena IUD placed in Jan 2019, my period immediately went away (I was 4 months pp). Fast forward to november 2019 when i started bleeding (5 days to be exact) that's when i got worried. After I stopped bleeding I checked for my strings and couldnt find them. I make an appt, I'm seen dec 14th and the np cant find them either. I spotted for 2ish days which was mainly old blood. Jan 14th I finally have an ultrasound and extra down to find out where the IUD is. They found it in my abdomen. At this point I found out I have a heart shaped uterus that they think pushed the IUD out through the uterine wall. Between nov and jan 14th my husband and I were stupidly having sex as normal (weve been married for almost 11 years, hes not used to condoms or pulling out lol). On the jan 27th they did a blood pt and it was negative but my doc said that we could still be pregnant but very early. On jan 28th I had a laporscopic surgery to have the device removed. I did bleed for 4 days after the surgery do to an instrument that had to be placed in my uterus to check for any damage (thank god there wasnt any). My husband and I just started having sex again (protected-condoms) yesterday. Has anyone had a similar experience. When did your period become regulated again. I have technically bleed 2 of the 3 months. I've tried tracking them with an app and technically I should have started on the 10th. We did have sex my fertile week in jan (unknowingly) about 7ish times... this was before we knew the IUD was gone. I have taken a test but I never show until I'm about 7-9 weeks late on a pee test. I am breastfeeding but only one session at night for about 10 min (dr didn't think that that would affect my periods, he said if anything it would make my uterus contract more). Please help ladies. I'm currently freaking out. We have 3 kids already. My 3rd was a bc pill baby. My husband would die lol.
