Naps/nap schedules & overnight sleep
So my baby (3 months) was sleeping about 6 hours straight before waking up to breast feed up until a couple weeks ago (I started a nap schedule). I noticed a lot of people had nap schedules so I thought that would help him sleep a longer stretch, maybe he was a little over tired. Well he would be up within 3 hours then every hour. I didn’t blame it on the naps at first. He was getting 3-4 hour long naps a day 1.5-2 hours apart and a 30 min cat nap a couple hours before bed. Well yesterday he just really didn’t want to nap so he skipped the last 2 and took a 20 min nap around 6 pm in bed by 8:44. He slept until 3:30 this morning! So I guess my question is are there others mamas on here who don’t really follow a nap schedule and baby sleeps well at night??? I think these naps are what messed up his night sleep. I have read if they are overtired they don’t sleep well but it seems like that is what he needs!
