How do I tell my boyfriend...

So my boyfriend and I have been in a long distance relationship and only see each other maybe once a month. How should I go about informing him that I did a little remodeling and replaced the tile in my downstairs with carpet...if you catch my drift. I don’t think he’ll care but 🤷🏼‍♀️
