I did it! I had my baby girl! I delivered 17 days ago. She was 4 days late. I was already in the hospital for my final monitoring as my Doctor wanted me on bed rest and observation for potential inducement in two days. But as I was laying in bed I got up for a very short walk to the hallway. I was having labor pains, something fierce beginning that morning so I knew things were starting to happen finally. As I started to walk, a big pain hit and my water broke! I went back to my bed and signaled the Nurse. She came and when she saw me and the look on my face, she knew it was time! They wheeled me to the delivery room, prepped me and 30 minutes later my baby girl Meridith was here! Only 3 pushes on my part! She slid right out! I was lucky, but she did have me worried as she was 4 days late and I was not looking forward to being induced. 21 inches and 7.9 lbs! I still am in awe, my first and I did it! Right now I am breastfeeding around the clock, getting no sleep, but she just amazes me! She gained up to now 8.7 lbs. I can't believe it already. I just wanted to share this, thanks for listening Moms! I know you all have this wonderful feeling! It is fantastic!!!!!!!
