Anybody else’s experiencing this symptom?

I’m currently 33 weeks 6 days and have been itching all over for over a week already. My arms, legs, back, hands, neck, even face and ears itch (but no rashes just itchiness), and no lotions or body oils have helped. I have my next appointment next week.

Yes, I have had the same thing happened to me as soon as I hit my 3rd trimester. Doctor was concerned that I have Cholestasis so he ran some blood tests and then ran the same tests again to weeks later and the tests were normal. So he told me it is from growing and stretching of my skin. I still get it on some days and Benadryl seems to help. You need to let your doctor know though so he can rule out Cholestasis.

I had an early onset PUPPPS rash in the first trimester (dermatologist diagnosed) that was mind blowingly itchy. What helped me was Aveeno oatmeal baths, Aveeno Baby Eczema cream (pretty goopy but it helped before bed) and I would take one Benadryl before bed so I could sleep and not itch all night. There’s a few other things I used for the rash but these all helped a ton with itching. If it is your liver maybe try drinking a few glasses of low sodium V8 daily, obviously if it’s full blown cholestasis then it will require more medical care. Whatever my crazy mix of concoctions I healed up and my itchiness and rash went away!

Could possibly be excessive bile levels in liver. Cholatos or something like that.

Call your OB office and see what they say. They may send you in for some tests or not. But I would call just to be on the safe side.

Just updating that I was positive for cholestasis. Will have to be induced/planned c section at 37 weeks. So ladies if y’all feel concerned about a symptom don’t be afraid to mention it to your doctors. It could be very serious

Thanks I emailed the office. They’re closed for the day. I just can’t take the itchiness. And my baby shower is this weekend ☹️
