Jobs for former teachers?

I am only posting anonymously because I haven’t told anyone I am leaving teaching.
Has anyone successfully left the classroom for another field? 
I have been teaching high school English for nine years. I was department head and team leader, so I am going to put those on my resume... but what kind of job would I be suited for?
Ideas??

I would choose something that your heart leads you to. I’ve thought about leaving the teaching profession too, but I’m not sure yet what I want to do. Life is too short to be miserable!!!!

I left a high school setting to teach Adult Ed at the college. Part time but loved the atmosphere!

I went back to school and became a dietitian. Best career move I could’ve made!

Try Daimler (Mercedes) if you have a Headquarters’s near your location - or any other large corporation with a training department. It will be a natural fit. You will still be working with people and getting those light bulb moment you thrive on as an educator, but won’t have the political structure of the district or hormonal children to navigate. 😂😂 good luck!

Following. I'd been teaching high school for 5 years, and this year I switched to teaching college classes which is nice but much less stable than my HS job. No matter what other options I've been considering, it always comes down to the amazing vacation time (I live in Europe and we get 8 weeks off during the year and 8-10 weeks off during the summer. Also I'm able to only work 4 days a week which is so nice. I considered something like school counseling, school administration, a travel company (I'm a language teacher)... But I just don't know.

Publishers like McGraw-Hill Education, HMH, and Pearson have often hired former teachers to write their materials or be product managers. Obv, this is because as a teacher, you have intimate knowledge about what the product should look and act like in order to be effective in a classroom.
