Does taking hot baths or showers affect getting and/or staying pregnant ??

I know this may sound crazy but I was really curious! An older lady told me this today, but I was wondering if it was true or just an old wives tale !

Yesterday,  my doctor told me to stay out of hot tubs, so naturally I followed up with questions on hot baths and she said it’s recommended to not take hot baths that will increase your body temperature because it can cause miscarriage...

It's taking long very hot baths while already pregnant, or being in hot tubs. If TTC, men should stay out of hot tubs as it can affect sperm

If pregnant, you need to avoid getting over heated, so long baths or spas aren’t recommended.
