Has anyone had the copper IUD and your PARTNER had an allergic reaction to it?

I had my iud put in September 2019 and soon after, my partner started experiencing discomfort during and after sex. We assumed it was the strings so i had them trimmed. But that didnt seem to fix the problem. He says he feels extremely itchy and sometimes even has a little skin pealing after sex. He says it only happens after sex and it goes away if we abstain for a few days. Its not from lack of lubrications either because im TMI usually pretty wet.

He recently had a complete STD panel done and it all came back negative.

Its weird that he only feels like this after sex so it makes me wonder if it could be my IUD bothering him.

Has anyone had any similar issues?
