I’ve always struggled with relationships and I’m not sure why. Last October I turned 40 and it was something I was dreading. On my 40th birthday, I got a Facebook message from a guy that I had been eyeing for a while. We started talking and he told me that he had been wanting to talk to me for a while and was too chicken so since it was my birthday, he felt it would be a good time to reach out. We have so much in common it’s almost scary. Everything with him has been so amazing. We would text all day everyday and call each other once or twice a day. Fast forward almost 4 months, we introduced sex into our relationship. He knows how I felt because in past relationships, the first time lead to the last time. He assured me he wasn’t going anywhere. For the past two weeks he’s been kind of distant with me. He doesn’t text me as much or respond with things that he would normally respond with. We leave for vacation in 11 days and I know he’s stressed with work trying to get everything taken care of before leaving. Am I just being paranoid and overthinking everything or is he hinting that he doesn’t want me anymore? When we talk on the phone, everything seems normal, but it’s the lack of texting that’s bothering me. I’m afraid to speak up because I’m worried what his response may be. Please Help!!
