Baby #2.. why am I more nervous??

Just found out yesterday we are expecting. I was shocked because we only had sex once during my fertile period and it was 4 days before O. But why am even I more nervous this time around?!

I feel the same way. I think I’m more nervous because I struggled to get pregnant with my 1st and this time it happened 1st try and we only had sex 2 and 3 days before ovulation. It just seems too good to be true!

It could be because having gone through it, you truly know and understand what it means to be pregnant and give birth and take care of the newborn afterwards. 
For me, the “why” was because for my first, I had a traumatic labor with unplanned c section and then breastfeeding went TERRIBLE and so when I finally came out of the whole thing, my love for my son was so intense and all consuming. He and I had had this year long journey together and I felt connected to him in a way I had never experienced. When I got pregnant with my daughter, my husband and I weren’t exactly planning on it at that moment. I was SO nervous and scared about being pregnant again because for me, I honestly didn’t know how I could possibly love another child as much as I loved my first. 
I didn’t realize it right away and it took some self-reflection to find out why. I hope you find your why and find some peace. 
FYI, my daughter is my ride or die. I cannot imagine life without her 😁

Literally same boat. We wanted to start trying soon but not quite yet. We only had sex once during a 2 week period and I was so sure I had ovulated a few days before and it would be safe. Apparently not! I think we are so nervous because we KNOW what it’s like to give birth, have a newborn, etc. and knowing we will be doing that while also taking care of another child is HARD. Honestly I spent the first week in denial, I was sad about it. But I have come around and am starting to get excited.

I am too!  I love the relationship I have with my son and I know it is going to change!  He will always be my first born and I know I will love baby #2 just as much. It’s easy to be nervous of the unknown
