I fainted!!!

I’m 12 weeks and 4days today. Just had my ultrasound earlier this morning. Baby had a heart beat at 167. It was kicking, moving, and waving. Happiest day! But also scariest day! I was at a store earlier and I fainted😔 all I remember was telling my husband I think I’m going to faint while we were in line and right away, I was gone. When I heard seconds later, my husband and everyone around us were holding me asking if I were ok or needed an ambulance. My husband said I’m pregnant. Everything was blurry when I heard and I was sitting on the ground. My husband and some lady helped me up and walked me to a chair. They sat me down, gave me water and fanned me, with that my vision became clear right away. The lady in front of us in line said the same thing happened to her when she was pregnant. It’s just my body overheating and not pumping enough blood to my brain so my body shut down. I called my OB , he said it’s common and for me to go home, drink plenty of fluids and rest. If it happens again within 24 hrs to go to the hospital. If it doesn’t, then it’s just a common symptom and that baby and I are okay. Should I be relaxed about it or get checked up??? Has anyone fainted before???? Scariest experience ever!!!!!!

My vision just blurred out, For a second it was black, I couldn’t hear for a quick second. Then everything was blurry again then everything came back. I was so scared!

My biggest concern is did you fall onto the floor? And if so how? I'd get checked if you had a hard fall that could have impacted the baby. Hope you feel better and this doesnt happen again!

Oh yeah that’s scary. I’m afraid of falling or fainting again. I pray that I never faint again🙏🏻❤️ I pray that no mamas here get to experience that 🥺

I'm always so afraid I'm gonna fall... we got icy conditions here in the midwest 😬 and fainting cant imagine how scary.

I haven't fainted but when my best friend was pregnant she fainted a few times and she realized it happened when she didn't eat. It can also be a sign of low blood sugar so I would try and snack a little through the day and see if that helps?

Yes, I’ll probably have to eat more or more meals a day. Maybe more snacks,? Because I’ll feel hungry again 10-20 minutes after eating.

I have fainted right at the beginning before I even knew I was pregnant . It was really scary. I had no idea why but when I brought it up to my doctor after I found out I was pregnant she said it is normal.

Thank you. It makes me feel so much better that I am not alone and that it is normal. ❤️

I had it twice so far (15w) and usually after doing something sightly strenuous, 20 mins later my body isn’t recovered but in recovering mode and sends me out. Happens that I have very low blood pressure so I walk around with salty licorice now and take that every time I carry groceries up the stars or run for my flight. Seems to help but def call your OB to make sure!

Baby is fine. I didn’t fall flat on my stomach (that’s what you need to be wary off) and next time as soon as you feel dizzy just get to sit down asap and but you’re head between your knees. Carry sweets around with you too. Your metabolism is speeding up with the babymaking now so sometimes you just need to spike your sugar level to keep it at the right rate for you to function.

Scary! Are you feeling better now? It might not be a bad idea to call and see what your doc thinks! Thank goodness your husband was there.

Thank you so much. I’m so glad my husband was there. Now I’m scared to go anywhere without him.
