Are hand and foot massages safe during third trimester?

I get weekly hand and foot massages but am wondering if they’ll be safe towards the end of my
pregnancy?

I think you just have to be careful because it’s said that some pressure points in the feet correspond to the female reproductive system, and can trigger labour. I’ve worked in beauty for years (and I’m trained in pregnancy massage) and every salon/spa I’ve worked in they’ve always avoided a ‘proper’ massage on the feet during pedicures/body massage. Some avoid it altogether and others would literally just apply the oil & give a gentle rub, rather than a proper foot massage.

Of course it's safe! If it really induced labor, Dr's would be doing that instead of IV medicine to start labor. It's definitely proven that nothing starts labor, except when your body is ready.
