BFing moms, have you ever had a clogged duct?

Inspired by the recent positive post from a fellow June mom on getting rid of her clogged ducts! I'm curious to see how common these issues are. Feel free to share tips on how to avoid them for moms in need! 
Shout out to all breastfeeding (nursing and pumping) June moms past and present! You're all kick-ass!

I’m on antibiotics for mastitis now, it’s my second time having it. This time was 10x worse than the first time and I feel like my supply was affected. 😩

I had quite a few with my first child, and a couple with my second. I think I’ve only had one this time around. I have no idea why I had so many after my daughter, though. Thankfully I’ve never had mastitis.

I gave up breastfeeding/pumping before Xmas she wouldn’t feed from me anymore so I was exclusively pumping I decided to stop at 6 months I started cutting down at 5 months but I obviously didn’t do it properly and ended up getting blocked ducts a few times! The last time my supply was effected massively so I ended up stopping completely at 5 1/2 months x

I had them twice a week my whole breastfeeding journey. Luckily no mastitis. I would take a super hot shower and push towards nipple to see where a tiny trickle of milk came out in that area. Once I found it, I would inspect my nipple and sure enough there would be a white “speck” of hardened milk. I would push and squeeze it until the speck came out. I knew it was fully out when I could push on the painful area and milk sprayed out. Then I would get out and pump until empty. Sometimes I wouldn’t need to push, it would just start spraying by itself it the clog was bad enough.

I have a couple times from either having to go too long between pumping or from not pumping long enough. Thanks to my job at a hospital that is supposedly breastfeeding certified 🙄🙄🙄

No longer bf, but had a clogged duct once and then got mastitis a week later. The duct had cleared but we think it must not have cleared all the way but wasn’t noticeable to me and then BAM mastitis hit and I was fine at 7am and then by 10:30am I had a 102 fever.

🙋🏻‍♀️ I think I got clogged ducts so much was because I was in oversupply and babe had poor latch. But recent ones were from weaning! Anyone who has issues with clogged ducts can come to me, I am now an expert
