Car seats in the desert...

Any product or tips on how to keep seats/buckles cool once temps and sun start beating on cars? Summer is fast approaching in Arizona and the only product I've found is a sun shield that goes around the seat but it has terrible reviews on amazon. I also don't think that just spraying cool water or blasting AC will do much especially when it means my very fair skinned child has to sit out in the sun even longer waiting for the car and seat to cool... Help!
