Thank you everyone for your prayers! It’s always a long 5-day wait, but this time I weirdly have a sense of calmness about it. We will see! Praying for a miracle ❤️
Egg retrieval 2/14 ❤️
Yesterday was our 5th retrieval.
We had 4 eggs retrieved.
Today, I got the call that only one was mature and they fertilized normally. Praying for a miracle and this little guy keeps fighting!

Praying for your little one! Valentine’s day is a special day to have a retrieval. I had my 4th round, retrieval 3 days prior to yours. I only had 3 retrieved; 2 mature, but only one was dividing. In my previous cycles, we tried to bank some blastocysts, but failed. This time we opted for a day 3 transfer which happened 2/14. Praying also for our one little fighter. May we both have success! Will you be doing a fresh transfer or growing to blast stage?

Each retrieval is special in its own way, but Valentine’s Day or on an anniversary day (also happened to me), it becomes something you’ll never forget. To me it’s a symbolism of how my love we have for a little one that we’re trying so hard to have and even if it doesn’t happen, we can say we’ve put all our love and effort into it. Let us know how your cycle turns out. Hope you get a couple of blasts.

I had my retrievel also on 2/14, 4 eggs, 3 matured and 2 fertilized. I love how you said Valentine's day was a special day to retrieve, needed to hear this as we wait til day 5. ❤️
I am just a few days ahead of you. I had 4 eggs retrieved (but had 8 in the same size range), only 2 fertilized, both still looked perfect with zero fragmentation on day 3, had an early blast on day 5. It can work. 💕

Best of luck to you for a strong, healthy embryo! I also had a low % of mature eggs (50%) . Did your RE give you any insight into why this might occur?

My ovaries act older than I am... just par for the course. My egg quality isn’t the best... but we fight ❤️🤞🏻
