Chloe Victoria Marie is here. She was due 3/12/20 came 2/15/20.....okay I am back to tell my birth story. On Valentines Day I went in to the hospital to do my weekly NST my appointment was at 9:20am. My five year old daughter was with me because school was out for her that day and we had girls day planned while the boys were at school. First they did an ultrasound to check my placenta blood flows and fluid and all was well then during the NST I had several contractions and after each contraction was over my daughters heart rate would dip down into the 90s and then slowly come back up. When the NST was over the nurse said I wasn’t going home I was going over to L&D to be induced......I was totally caught off guard. I had to break the news to my 5 year old that girls day would have to be rescheduled. Once over in L&D they took my vitals got my IV going and by noon I was started on a drip of Pitocin. I just knew that this would send me into labor right away as the last labor I was induced with it I was in labor for 1.5 hrs total and had baby. Well this time my body didn’t respond to it at all. By 5pm my Pitocin dip had reached 20 and they decided to go another route as I was only 4 centimeters. I had suggested cervidal in the beginning but they didn’t give it to me but they decided to try it after my second dose of it around 10pm the contractions were starting to get unbearable and closer together. I had planned on natural child birth as my last four labors were natural but I had been in labor since Friday after midnight came and went with no baby and I was so exhausted so around 4am I asked for the epidural after that they let me rest a bit and then came back in to check me when she checked me my water broke and ten mins later I was completely dilated after that it was time to push. One push and out came Chloe at 5:10 am 2/15/20 5 lbs.
