When husband doesn’t like many names but won’t add any to the list

I have been busily accumulating names for the past two years and when we finally conceived and confirmed we had a healthy boy on the way I showed him my name list. 
He spent a long time crossing most out left with 7 but none were popping out at him. I have asked several times and feel like I’m a pest for him to write some names down but he keeps joking around and I feel like he is not taking this seriously it is our first and I just want to get excited but I like names like Lawson, Hugh and Ashford and he just doesn’t know yet he says. Is anyone else feeling like this with names??

My husband won’t name a child until he sees them and spends time with them. It’s frustrating, but the name is SO meaningful at the same time- so I don’t rush him. Yours will come around. Just be patient

For a second I was like did I write this??? I have a list of like 30 and my husband won’t accept a single name on the list except one. He also won’t give me a single serious suggestion. Any time I ask for a name he says some random ridiculous name like “stefano” with an accent (we’re having a girl). Last night I asked if the one he did accept was the one and we could stop or he just likes it but wants to find better. And he goes “no it’s not the one i just picked it off your list”. And I’m getting so frustrated and it’s taking s lot of the joy and excitement away from me. I told him I need him to step up and figure names out Too because I can’t keep coming up with more. My list of 30 is starting to get into like mediocre territory because I can’t find anymore I like. I try and give him space. I mention it like once a week just like “hey you got any names” and if he’s still not being serious I let it go. I’m trying to remember to them this is still like 4/5 months away. My husband thinks I’m ridiculous for trying to pick a name right now. And I just need to listen and work with him. This pregnancy isn’t happening to his body. It’s a lot more abstract and removed for him and I just have to give him time.

We went through a ton of names before one just felt right. We settled on Elodie for a girl or Milo for a boy. I basically kept throwing out names repeatedly until one stuck 😂

We are the same - I have so many names on a list but we haven’t settled on one yet (we’re having a little girl, we have a boy already). What I found with our son is we threw around a few names we thought we might like until we settled on one. It took some time but we’re both slow to warm up, so we had to wait and see if we actually liked the name. Maybe he is the same? I’m starting to stress because I’m almost 20 weeks and we don’t have a name yet!
