We MADE IT to the hospital! 🙌🏼Precipitous labor
Posted in Feb 2020 group, but wanted to share on here for other fast-labor Moms out there!!!
Precipitous labor SUCCESS; made it to the hospital in 6 minutes after first painful contraction woke me up out of slumber— delivered 36 minutes from check-in!
Another horrendously painful all-natural labor, entirely because of timing, but AGAIN my body feels AMAZING after and I was up, showered, nursing & asking to go home within an hour!!!
I’d never recommend natural or tell a woman to endure it- but if there is ANY way you can— you’ll be amazed with the aftermath.
I did listen to hypnobirthing tracks at bedtime and I think it helped until transition- at which point I yelled “fuck the lotus flower!!!” And my husband changed my music to a random Spotify playlist that happened to begin with DMX’s “X gon’ give it to ya”...... weird moment, to say the least 🙄🤷🏻♀️
Pushing was again, for me, the absolute most painful part. I used to say it feels just like pooping out a pineapple. I’d like to make a clarifying statement; it feels just like pooping out a pineapple ON FIRE. #truestory
So, Moms, If you have fast labors- try the meditations as I think they worked until the end when nothing can help you but reminding yourself you aren’t yet dead. 😂 Good luck!! We are over the moon with our 5th & Final surprise BOY!🤰🏻🤱❤️
Update: for those of you still waiting- my day of delivery I did the following;
- 8am: cervical check @ OB
- 9am: sex with hubby (yupp, awkward at 39+3 weeks 🤷🏻♀️)
- 11am: 30 min walk on inclined treadmill
Had some cramping that all stopped after a hot shower at 7pm. And I went to bed feeling NOT about to go into labor & woke a couple hours later with GO TIME pain. So- try sex & walking! ❤️🙌🏼
