Labor?

35 weeks and I’m so nervous about labor! This is my first baby, with a baby girl. So far the only problem I’ve had is pelvic pains. Any other new mommas nervous about labor? Any mommas already have kids and can give me tips on labor? I know there’s a bunch of tips online and my OB has been very helpful but it’s good hearing it from you know moms that have been through it or new moms just like me nervous?

I had my first naturally and without pain meds and i was also induced. So my advice would be to find a position that help u breath through those contractions. There’s this point ur gonna have where u want to cave in and give up BUT that’ll be the point where u need to push through cause ur about to have ur baby. The pushing for me was easy I only gave two pushes and he was out. I had a second degree tear and did get stitches. But once baby is out you kinda forget about al the pain cause then ur just focused on ur little baby. You do get those contractions feeling again when u breastfeed but it’s bearable. My fav position was hands and knees swaying my hips side to side with my partner rubbing my lower back. I felt like I was in that position for 5min and my partner told me I was there for the last half of my labor. I went in at 7:30pm and had him at 4:45am the following day. I am pregnant with third child. My first I labored for 9 hours water broke by itself. My second I labored for 17 hours water did not break they had to break it. I had water births for both so I felt every contraction, ever push, and ring of fire.   Both babies were delivered at hospital with midwives in birthing center. I still felt contractions while breastfeeding with my second. I pooped during labor with my second and not first. I have had hg all pregnancies so pregnancy is hard part and delivery is easy part. However you forget all that when you lay your eyes on baby. Good luck with the birth. Try not to think about it too much. If you need pain medicine or anything don’t be afraid to ask.

This is my first pregnancy (38 weeks)and I feel the same, I have some pressure and I'm only dilated 1cm. My mom told me long ago when she had my brother her body was too petite and she couldn't dilate any further so they had no choice but to do a c-section. They've tried explaining what contractions feel like and certain pains but I've been hospitalized for bad periods so my pain meter down below is pretty durable. Since I can pop any day now the anxiety is kicking into overdrive and I don't know what to do

The unknown is the scariest part. I just had my second (10 years after my first) ... Contractions suck but wasn't awful awful. Pushing was the harder part for me but what helped me most was reminding myself to push harder. I pushed for about 30 mins. I did tear twice but only got one stitch. I had the epidural but it quit working at 7cm on my right side so 🤷 once it's over it is over and it's all worth it. You got this !
