How did you get your pet?

I have 1 cat, named Jasper. My boyfriend rescued him from the streets a little over a year ago and gave him to me as a surprise. I love them both so much ❤️

Found Bear on the street walked him home with headphones as a leash and he ate a burrito off the side on the road.

We've had a few that we've formally adopted from shelters, that were rescued from the streets, etc. All our pets are rescues.

This big boi was born with 3 other siblings outside of my grandmas house! The momma cat was a stray who my grandma slowly gained the trust of. Now, the momma cat and one of the other kittens she had live with her. The two other kittens were adopted

I have two 6 Month old full blooded Great Dane pups that are siblings, male/female. The owner of the parents claimed it was an accidental litter and was still charging $200 a piece for them. My sister got one, and we got the other free of charge because they were not taken care of at all! They couldn’t afford to get them to a vet, so out of 8 puppies, those two survived. That’s it. At four weeks old, we received the puppies early because they needed medical attention. Our shadow ended up on wormer and had a huge abscess from when the mother bit her head that had to be drained/was on antibiotics at 4 weeks old. The other pup Nox, was only on wormer. After about four more months, my sister started getting allergic reactions to Nox and he was staying in a crate all the time. She asked me if my husband and I wanted him and we immediately took him in. He was a little skittish at first and had rickets in the front legs from lack of exercise, but now they are both thriving! Nox has an accident and was ran over by our neighbor, but only ended up with two broken toes and is on the mend. So we have been through a rough six months with these two, but it has been the most fun watching these babies grow and thrive after the life they had.

My parents bought my turtles from the side of the road when I was younger. We eventually had to get rid of them, because my parents did no research on how to take care of turtles, nor did the guy tell us (they were illegally caught). 🤦🏾‍♀️

Rescued 2 and purchased one from Craigslist because we were looking for a specific breed and color. We didn’t purchase her from a breeder, we purchased her from a couple who was trying to train her as a police dog, but she wasn’t making it. 😭

And thats just dogs and cats.
-We adopted 3 turtles. One was randomly found in our yard and 2 in our neighbors
- 6 bought bunnies from a pet store
- adopted 4 chickens from the zoo (they had to many)
-bought 2 turned out to be monsters. My pool lady loved them though. Rumour has it they are her guard dogs
-got one from a pet farm
-one from a friend but he was the devil himself so he had to go God knows what happened to him he attacked a baby for a cookie
-so many bought fish.
I know I am missing some but its too much...
