Your question may be a bit confusing. I only use the mattress that came with the pack n play. Any other mattress is unsafe.

We have a pack n play and it specifically gives you the dimensions of a mattress you can buy. No thicker than 8cm. Ours came only with a hard base so it is nice to have something a bit softer. We do not use it for the raised bassinet feature but when he moves to the lower part we will use it. We got ours for $50 at IKEA.

I used the one that came with the pack n okay but got a sheet for it from amazon. He sleeps in his crib now but slept in the pack n play for 10 weeks
