Need opinions please!!!
So my fiancé and his now ex girlfriend used to live with his dad. They have 2 kids together, ages 10 and 6 and they all lived in the same house. My fiancé left her because he caught them in the middle of the night in what looked like a sexual act. They were both on the couch and when they heard him come downstairs they both jumped up and looked like something was going on. He also found text messages from his ex to his dad saying “I love you baby,” “miss you, wish you were here.” He confronted her about it and she said it was a joke of some sort. Ok so this was 4 years ago and she is still living with his dad!!!!! Him and his dad play softball together but their relationship is really weird. My fiancé doesn’t like confrontation and suffers from bipolar and depression (he also sees a therapist). Anyway, it was court ordered a year ago or so that his kids receive counseling. His ex has not once made a call to a counselor or anything. He has asked her several times over the past year and she refuses to do it! He said he was going to call then and take them on his own time and she threw a fit! I know it’s because she knows his daughter will mention the relationship between mom and papa. His oldest has resulted to a form of self harming...she’s been scratching herself and we almost took her to the ER a few months ago because she had a panic attack and finally told us she tries to hurt herself. She’s 10!!! His daughter also suspects something going on with her mom and papa. She asked us why her mom goes into her papas room at night for a while. They don’t show any PDA around the kids or around other people and deny anything going on. This is affecting his kids especially his 10 year old daughter. Although his ex and father’s relationship isn’t morally right, it’s also not illegal. Is there some way (maybe thru counseling) that we can prove this is hurting the children? We hired a lawyer a while ago and she was literally worthless. Sorry so long but if you made it this far please comment! Thank you!
