Is it time to move on?

Just found out that our 4th IUI was not successful. I was certain that this was the one so I’m pretty upset with the result. We are debating if we should continue with another IUI or start the IVF process. Dr. Pretty much said that it was completely our decision. IUI are covered by our insurance. And we have a very small benefit with IVF but still will have to pay a significant amount out of pocket. This last round it seemed like the meds finally worked and my follicles were the biggest they have been measuring 20, 17 and 16.

So as my husband and I debate which path is best for us, please share if you had any success stories after 4 IUIs!

Success rates drop significantly after three IUIs so I would go to IVF.

We did 6 iuis - 3rd round ended in early MC- all others failed. We only intended on doing 3 but then after we saw a positive we decided to do a few more. I personally would recommend moving on to IVF. IUI is such a low success rate, you really have to be the lucky ones to have it work. I'm sorry you're going through this!

I got pregnant on my 5th iui. I decided to do one more cycle while I was waiting for an appointment to start the ivf process. My daughter is 9 months old.
