Anyone’s LO still being swaddled?

Any advice? My 7month LO can sleep through the night without being swaddled after he’s knocked out sleeping but during his day naps and putting him to bed he only wants to be swaddled. It’s been so hard because he’s such a light sleeper. Let me know what you mommies have done or still doing..

I used to swaddle my son till he was 4months for all naps and night time sleep. He was not able to sleep without being swaddled. We thought he would never be able to sleep without being swaddled. But then we transitioned him with one arms out for 3-4 days and then both arms out after that. First 3days were kinda rough but then it was fine. It might take a week but try to transition him out of swaddle. I have heard great reviews about merlin magic suit you can definitely try them if you want.

It’s recommended to stop swaddling at 8 weeks... you really need to just cut it cold turkey for your babies safety... it may be hard for a few days but they get the hang of it, I promise

We switched to a Zipadee Zip around 4 months and an arms-out Woolino sleep bag around 5.5 once her startle reflex was all gone. She definitely rolls around a lot, plays in her crib, sucks her thumb, but I think all of those are good activities. She’s an independent sleeper so she always settles down after a few minutes.

We are still in a transition swaddled with both arm “wings” still zipped on. She is such a fiddler I doubt she would ever fall asleep with free hands. She has kinda skipped rolling but does sleep on her side. She can even find her dummy and put it back in with her hand covers. It works for us 🤷🏻‍♀️

Mine isn’t swaddled anymore. Made a fab transition even though she wouldn’t sleep without it. We used the zipadee zip. She can still fully move but must still feel enclosed so she likes that. She has been in it a month now but has recently started doing acrobats round the cot so if she wakes in the early hours and can’t keep still I will swaddle then because otherwise she’s up
