What do we do?

I’m a daycare teacher to two year olds but kids start in our class at around 18 months. We just had two kids move up, the little boy has done great but the little girl has not. Her parents pretty much let her run them so she cries a lot to get her way. They pick her up everytime she cries so now she wants us to do the same but that’s just not always possible. Today, I tried feeding her lunch and even held her while attempting to do so but she screamed at me the whole time, I eventually just put her down for a nap and she cried until she fell asleep (wasn’t for long). She is now currently sleeping and I do plan on trying to feed her again once she wakes up. I mean what do you do with a screaming kid? We can’t pick her up everytime she cries and sending her back and forth between our room and the class she came from is just going to make things harder so what would be the best things for us to do?
