Feeling lost

Lately, I have been feeling really lost when it comes to God and Jesus... it's like I cant wrap my head around the fact that everything in the Bible happened... I believe in God and Jesus but when I try to understand the events that took place in the Bible it's like I'm too stupid to comprehend it.. I feel so lost, defeated, and so so sad... I just want to be closer to him and I feel like a horrible christian and like ill go to hell..
