Has anyone started to breastfeed after they had stopped? I had to stop breast feeding for a few days because I was taking codeine for a tooth infection, my supply is minimal now. I cant get anything out with a pump, when I hand express I can get some milk out. I've been eating rolled oats drinking lots of water and nursing frequently. However it seems I don't have a let down phase when baby nurses anymore. He only does short fast sucks. He also doesn't pull away from the breast. He can still be attached and fast sucking after an hour. How do I teach him to pull away when he's finished? I feel like because he doesn't pull away he isn't full. I'm worried that because he's fast sucking that I don't have a let down phase.
