Do chemicals count?

Nicole

I would really appreciate your perspectives, past experiences and insight: I had a 6 week miscarriage last August. When they performed the ultrasound they saw nothing so the doctor declared it a chemical pregnancy. Although when I did start bleeding it felt like so much more than “a late period.” A few months later, I had a positive test that slowly disappeared the next day. Clearly a chemical. Now, I am currently enduring a missed miscarriage at ten weeks. It’s a devastating, heartbreaking experience. My doctor doesn’t think we need to go to a fertility specialist just yet. She doesn’t count the chemicals as miscarriages, so to her, I’ve only had one. All of these three incidents have happened in a span of 7 months. I am 35 years old. I have a toddler from a healthy pregnancy with my same partner. What do you think? Should I listen to my doctor and try again? I’ve read online that chemicals are miscarriages so according to the internet I would be suffering from recurrent miscarriages and need to see a specialist. What do you think? Thank you 🙏💕
