Okay my bf currently lives in a different state that I will be moving to in April where we are going to get our own place. Today he was complaining that his mom would be difficult about his moving out and he’d be lucky to leave with half of his stuff. I told him to just stand up to her and when moving out take all his things. He then shouted that his mom is sick and has heart conditions and cancer and he’s just trying to take care of her. I told him that it wasn’t his fault if she made her self get worked up and affected her heart but that standing up didn’t mean fighting. I also said that while her being sick is terrible and I sympathize with her it didn’t give her the excuse of being controlling and rude. He told me he had to go and abruptly hung up. Should I just leave it be? I feel like this is a warning sign that she’s going to be controlling his life even after we move in together.
