What do contractions feeel like?

With my first I was induced and barely remember what they felt like. 
I vaguely remember it feeling like food poisoning mixed with period cramps. 
How would you describe them??

Bad bad bad period pain that comes and goes and a back ache like I’ve broken my pelvis /lower back.

Okay, get on the floor and plank for as long long as you can. When you’ve had enough and cant go any longer, count 10 more seconds🤣 thats EXACTLY how it feels for me

Painful tightening of my uterus is exactly what it felt like lol . Iv has food poising but for me it was nothing like that. Not stomach cramps, it was not a “sick” feeling for me it was just a painful feeling. ￼

A bowling ball of fire that rolled down my back and settled in my low back and took my breath away. It was ALLLL back for me. Until pushing, but I had an epidural so it was a feeling of a lot of pressure at the top of my abdomen.

For my first, I could literally feel like cervix dilating with each contraction. Did anyone else experience this? I've only heard people describe it as horrible period like cramps or back labor but never what I felt lol

I had two different experiences.  With the first, everything was in the front and didn't hurt a ton.  Just crampy.  They did intensify but it wasn't awful.  With the second, everything was in my back and it was excruciating.  I had to be up and moving.
