Hello all, I am 20 (21 in aug). My boyfriend of 2 years and I are trying for a baby more or less (if it happens it happens, no bc but no helping it) we have a house (renting) good jobs (I work 2 jobs because I’m a workaholic lol), and our relationship is strong. I just feel like a kid again I don’t know how or what to tell my parents if I get pregnant, I don’t want them to belittle me or tell me what I’m doing is going to ruin my future, but I want them to know when and if I become pregnant I want them in the baby’s life. I’m super close with my mother but my stepdad and I are close but very different views. I’m torn and wondering if any one experienced this and would like to share their experience :) no hate please!

You're an adult, you have 3 steady incomes between you and your boy friend and you rent a house. I see no reason for them to be anything but supportive when you do eventually have to tell them you are pregnant! I thought my parents would FREAK when I told them I was pregnant at 17 but they actually ended up being calm and really supportive! My dad even helped me get a job where he worked after I had my baby!

No problem! There just so much stigma around being "too young" to be a parent so i Iike sharing my story when i can! I'm 24 now and have 3 kids and I know a lot of people who thing that's to young for even one kid 🙄 you should see some of the looks I get especially from other moms who have kids in my sons class 🙄
