Wouldnt be friends. Maybe I'm heartless but being depressed and having anxiety isnt an excuse to be a dick to people. I'm sorry she lost her husband and maybe you could send flowers or something as a nice gesture? I wouldnt trust her as a friend again unless she was able to own up to what she said and apologized

As someone with depression and anxiety, don't do it. Her actions were not caused by that. I've never told someone that another was talking shit unless they were actually talking shit.ni  a "dick" in the sense I cancel plans last minute due to my anxiety or depression. I do sometimes get very irritable and can have am attitude, but I'm not a dick. And it's also not am excuse, which I know. She sounds two faced and that has nothing to do with mental illness

I would be friends again. Or at least try to. She’s going through a rough time and probably needs someone to be there for her. Y’all were friends once, it’s def worth a try again. Don’t leave her alone if she has anxiety and depression, that’s the last thing she needs. She can’t help that she’s got it. Yes it can make you a bitch times. I know because I’ve got and I am probably one of the biggest ones when I have a spell. Just tel her that she’s being bitchy. She should understand. But, please dont leave her alone. You loved her at one time and she just lost her husband. She needs her best friend. ):

Honestly it sounds like you want her to do well, just not necessarily be a permanent fixture in your life. You could extend kindness without being her friend forever- it seems like she needs support during this time, but consider whether it would be detrimental to your psyche to befriend her again. I’d say make the bitch a lasagna and call it good lol
